Open Practices

As in past years, there will be a series of open practices for players to refresh and/or improve their skills. Practices will be conducted by coaches and/or assistant coaches, and players will be grouped by or close to their age/grade. Players aren't required to attend, nor will they be evaluated during practices. Players are also not required to complete a registration in order to attend a practice; they are free of charge and open to all. All practices are at Mercer Park from 6:00pm-7:30pm on the following dates:

Sunday, August 8th, 6:00pm-7:30pm

Wednesday, August 11th, 6:00pm-7:30pm

Online Registration

Click Register at the bottom of the page to enter the registration portal. Please be sure to register for the age group your player will be in next season. Use your previously created user name and password, or if you are new to our club, please create an account. There is the club fee of $150 that is due at registration, and is refundable only if your player is not added to a team roster.

Announcement of Rosters

Rosters will be announced no later than two weeks after tryouts. Families will receive an email message that will include the name of your team's head coach. The head coach will follow up shortly thereafter with more information about next season.

What happens if my child does not make a team?

It is our goal to assign all players who try out to one of our teams. Unfortunately some players may not be assigned to a team (roster is full, not enough players to create an additional team, etc.) If by chance a player is not assigned a team, we will return the $150 club fee.

Age Divisions

In keeping with the USSSA rule change 2 years ago that allows for a grade exception to the age-based rules for team placement, LHBC encourages players to try out for their own age/grade division. Players who wish to try out for an older age division must sign up for that specific division and attend that tryout. In the event the player is not selected for that team, LHBC will make every effort to work with coaches to place the player within their own age/grade related team, and in accordance with their playing ability (red team or white team). In general, the following ages correspond with the following grades:

7U-1st Grade, 8U-2nd Grade, 9U-3rd Grade, 10U-4th Grade, 11U-5th Grade, 12U-6th Grade, 13U-7th Grade, 14U-8th Grade

7U Coach Pitch Division

For the 7U age division (6 & 7 year old's) there are no tryouts. To be considered for a 7U team, please register and we will contact you via email with additional details.

During registration, follow the prompts and type "Yes" regarding the waiver. For families with more than one Little Hawk, please complete the waiver for each player. You can read the LHBC waiver here:
